I know it's been asked before, and i searched, but i couldn't find the answer i was looking for. I ordered 18's for my car and don't know what size tire to get for them. I was thinking 215/40/R18. Yes?? No?? I want the widest tire possible and still be able to slam it (no tire gap) and not have it rub. What do you guys think?

I think you want 215/35/18s.

Personally, I would never go over 17" in a rim... Too much unsprung weight.

Currently I got 215/50/16s and they are wonderful. No rubbing and the 215 width fills the wheel well quite well.

You could probably get away with 225/35/18s, but 235 would be pushing it.

Here's a tire calculator. http://www.discountpartcenter.com/tirecalc.html
