Since the back tires appear to be set in a little farther then the front would it look weird to put 225/55/16 on rear and 205/55/16 on front?
This is with a 1.5" Drop

I don't think there is any difference front to rear. As far as looks go, there are as many opinions as there are people, if you like the way it looks then go for it. The only problem I see is rotating your tires, usually you swap front and rear on the same side because so many tires these days are uni-directional.

true, never thought of that.

if anything, you should run the 225 up front and the 205 in the rear. Unless you used be a VW owner :winkm:

Actually, I've tried this. It was out of necessity since it was 4th of July and they didn't have my correct tire size i stock, but I ended up having 205's up front, and 215's in the back. Didn't feel all that different, but my Antilock Brake light came on, and didn't shut of till I had a full set of same size tires.

i was just about to add that...
you cant run diff. size tires if you want your abs to function properly.

they appear set farther in b/c of the neg camber you have in the rear. get a camber kit, set the camber to stock (-1) and you'll be fine.

if you run 225, run 225 all around.

abs will work so long as the overall wheel/tire diameter is similar all around. if the overall whele/tire diameter is off by more than -5" or so front/rear, then you'll have problems with abs. the abs isn't affected by tire width as the width does not affect rotational speed.

Very interesting. I never considered different braking forces as a result of different size tires.

that's not why it fucks with abs. you have different rotational speeds front & rear. the abs sensors are essentially wheel speed sensors, so for a given vehicle speed, a different size tire is going to have a different wheel speed. if your wheel speeds are off more than a certain percent while braking, abs assumes there is slippage, and modulates braking accordingly. if wheel speed sensors are off when not braking, abs assumes there's an error.
