I kow we're not running 2 strokes, but I wanted to kill 2 Q's with one post. What grade of gas are people using and what brand and weight oil does everyone use. I just got an 02 with 13k on it and I want to treat it right without spending unnecessary money. Thanks.

I've been using either a 92 or 93 octane (The local Speedway's 92 treats my car better than the more expensive 93 at the Sunoco or whateverthehell).

I am now using Mobile 1 Synthetic 5w30

By the way, I have the RevHard turbo kit.

Gas: regular gas. The car is designed to run on regular, we have a low compression engine, compare to other Honda engines, and higher octane will not benefit. If someone is telling you that they feel the difference from runnig on 87 and 93 then they in needs of a new air filter and maybe regapping plugs. I usually go for brands like Exxon/Mobil, Shell, Citgo, Sunoco.

Oil: Mobil 1 0W-20 and stock Honda filter every 5000 miles.

I use only Royal Purple 10-30 with a Mobile 1 oil filter. For gas I use only Shell 93 V-Power and no where else. This combo feels good.

Mobil/Exxon 93 Octane and 5w-30 Royal Purple on the A2. I used same gas but 5w-30 Mobil 1 on A3 motor.

man, this question has been asked a bajillion times (http://www.ephatch.com/forum/search.php).

Anyhows, during the cold months, I ran Mobil 1 0w-20, Mobil 1 Oil Filter, and Exxon/Mobil, Chevron, or Arco 87. During these hotter months, I'm running Mobil 1 5w-30!

Exxon/Mobil 93, and Mobil 1 5w30 with Mobil 1 M1-110 oil filter. The a2 head on the a3 block seems to run like crap on 87 or 89, so I stick with 93. When i was running the stock head, i would run 89, 87 never seemed to run right. As for the M1 5w30, I tried 0w20, however it was so thin that I would burn about a quart every 1000 miles (it was also seeping out past my oil pan gasket). Since switching to 5w30, the seeping has stopped, and I'm burning maybe an 1/8th of a quart ever 1000 miles (obvious improvement).

German Castrol 0w-30, Amoco Ultimate 93 octane (w/Hondata) and a Wix filter since the Mobil 1 filters are way too restrictive.

Honda oil, and either Chevron or Quicktrip. Mid or high grade octane :)

Wix filters are better than Mobil 1? IMO, Mobil 1 is pretty outstanding compared to others I have used before. More info please.

Thank you for all the information! I have a good idea now of how to treat my car. Thanks.

How exactly are you figuring that? If you've got UOAs to back up your statement, please post them.

Check BITOG and the other oil filter studies like www.oilfilterstudy.com Mobil 1 filters are too restrictive for my liking. Same goes for the Pure 1.

I am using Royal Purple(5-30) and a fram double guard filter! I am running a slightly larger filter than normal for better flow. Running a larger filter doesn't hurt as long as the "0" ring is the same size!

I'm also using the German Castrol and a Wix right now... what are the odds?

The odds are that you're intelligent and have done your homework. :)
