A3 To A2

What is everything I need to turn my A3 into an A2? After seeing a video of an A2 Si, I'm really interested. Thanks in advance.

Well, closest thing is to get A2 type power is to put an A2 head on your car. It will be a nice gain in power (20-25whp) but still about 5-10 whp down from a car that has a A2 block/tranny. Besides, unless you get the head for dirt cheap or can do the work yourself, its more economical to sell the A3 and buy an A2.

How much would the head cost? Also, would it make me rev any higher than the 7100 rpm cut off?

if im not mistaken you need the head/ head gasket and ecu i believe the a3 manifold and tb will work

anywhere from 700-1000+. Some people have posted a breakdown of the costs and it is near 2700-3000 if you don't do the work yourself. The revlimit is dependant on your ECU. Most people run the stock Type S redline of 8k with the a2 head.
