Well, after having all sorts of problems and complications getting my hands on a set I finally picked some up. Drivers side had a small little nick that looks repairable. The price was great and I met up in Upstate NY with a guy from Jersey. I know this has been done but there was little info available. On another note, I think I'm the first to switch the rears to the RSX-S leather as I could not find any information with my countless searches on 4 forums. I'm a sucker for leather and love the smell and feel :D.

The install was fairly easy. It's not quite perfect yet but I have solutions for everything I happened to come across. Here are a few of the minor issues:

Front seats:
- Each seat will only align on three of the 4 holes. The rear rail holes closest to the emergency brake (on both driver and passenger seats) sits up ~1" too high and is offset forward ~ 3/4". For the time being I put 2 washers and a nut on the bolt so that it sits up high enough for the seat rail to rest on it. It's pretty secure but I am hoping to have one of the machinists at work fab me up a little "L" shaped tapped bracket.
- The SRS plugs are fine on the drivers seat. The passenger side only plugs into one of the sockets. The other one doesn't match up. I have an SRS light due to the latter. Oh well, I'll figure out how to rewire the plug at some point.
- The underside of the drivers seats is low due to a couple of support bars that are shaped like so: \______/ . In order to allow for clearance for my amp I switched it to look like this: /-------\ . I also put in a bolt on each side and tghtened it on to allow for another 1/2" of clearance. Amp fits perfect and there's no way you can feel the bar. I sat on it and felt around. There's still a good 1" of clearance between the seat springs and the bar.

Rear seats:
- The bottom bench section clips into the 2 front OEM clips. The metal loop lines up to one of the rear OEM center bracket holes.
- The rear lower bench is approximately 2" smaller in width. This made for a small 1" gap on either side. It's not bad and I'm already working on a solution.
- The rear center bracket had to be removed as the SI seats are 60/40 whereas the RSX rears are 50/50 split.
- The rear center bracket will have to be relocated to the middle. I have not screwed it back on yet. I'm hoping to get some self tapping screws this week.
- The rear folding sections will click into the 2 OEM metal brackets. They fit in there tightly. At this point I don not have them "bolted in" but they are very secure.
- The rear folding sections sit ~ 1" lower at the level point of the seats (area w/out the head rests. See the pics). It's not a huge issue to me as it is now working like a ported enclosure for my sub. The bass is so much better ;). I'm hoping to fabricate something to shrink most of the gap.

Overall, I love it. The seats are comfy and firm. The added lumbar support, height adjustment and feel of the seats is great. They also sit a little lower (adjustable) and would probably be nice for some of the taller EP drivers.

Here are some of the pics...

*hope you have tints, that black leather will get uber-toasty in direct sunlight*

Thanks for the kind words. :)

I stole it for under $400.00 ;)

Hehe..Yeah, I've had leather on my last 2 cars so I'm hoping to have tints soon. it's also helpful in keeping the leather from fading / cracking.

looks great....i wanted to wrap mine with the katzskin leather, but not a lot of people were feeling it, but after looking at your i just might invest in some RSX seats if i can rob it off someone like you did :D or just by the wrap from katzskin. keep it up

Yup...

I've done a good 6 months of research.

Basically, those who take care of and condition their leather have no problems. The people who just sit in them get the cracks.....

Hey whats up man? I did the type S seat swap like a year ago. I love those seats. My reason was because I am 6'6", and needed the extra room. They are nice since they sit lower, and go back like an extra 2-3 inches. When I did the swap though, I swapped the seatbelt lock part from the EP seat to the DC5 seat. This got rid of the SRS problem, and Bolted right up. I have to say that I don't like the rear though. it just shows how much more roomy the Ep is over th DC5. That is like a 3" gap all the way around:(

For anyone that is interested in those seats. They market is flooded with them. You can score them for cheap as hell. I've seen fronts for $200.

It would be super nice if you could use the fronts then get the stock EP3 rear seat covered to match it!! That would be super nice!!!!!!!! :D

That seat swap looks great man, nice right up. Any plans for somekind of mod to fill the gaps on the sides of the rear seats?

Actually, I'm starting to look around and get quotes on re-wrapping the OEM rears.

It doesn't look like there's too much lateral support with those seats, though. :/

Unfortunately, I don't remember. IIRC, there was a thread on clubrsx where someone weighed the leathers.
