Did I accidentally buy a Civic Si Hybrid??

Well my last gas tank I hit a record 345.3 miles before the light came on. I thought something was wrong with my fuel guage because it was taking forever to come on, however I pulled up to the pump and put in 9.774 gallons :) Driving was mostly highway but included a few trips up to redline ;)

i get about the same. i do mostly highway driving. takes me about 2 weeks til i have to fill up again.

coming back from austin i managed a 370 mile tank on about 10 gallons. 350 of it was highway, but that's still good for the ep.

hmm... that's all? hehe. some strange reason I pumped out 275 miles on my tripometer, and it was alittle below HALF TANK! When I went to pump it up at the station, only 7 gallons of gasoline wanted to go in. That's 39 miles per gallon. I have no idea wtf happen, but I wish it would be like that forever.

I just did a fill up with 335 miles and I put in about 11 gal. I am finding out the longer you do not reset the ECU the better the MPG get. Plus my CAI help get me about a 1-2 MPG when I am doing just highway.

me too, i think our tanks are designed funny or something because it always clicks off at like 9 gallons sometimes even 8 and thats with driving about 20-30 miles after the light comes on. I can usually top it off to about 10-11 gallons. Its wierd. I filled up on 86 octane on accident once and only got like 200 miles out of the tank, then my next tank on regular i got over 350.

I'm doing an online traffic school and it has these stupid fun facts about random stuff. I think one was a car built by a Canadian got about 5696 miles on one gallon of gas.

I average 28mpg but highway driving I get 35 or more. I notice that filling the tank is funny. The first click off is always at 10 gallons, but then I can pump two or more gallons into the tank. Must be the shape of the tank.

I also noticed that now that I have 14000 mile on the car, the engine seems more powerful, gas milage has increase and the car is just more fun to drive.

I've owned alot of Honda's and while they all have been great, I never had one get so much better with age... at least so far.

best ive had was after the meet back in june i had 303 when the light came on, then i drove another 60 miles after that and filled up and put in 11.5 gallons best b4 that was 293. wish it was still higher tho maybe im askin to much tho lol

LOL, no i use 93 only, i usually shift around 3k and got great milage with my mods. i would show 2 of my friends and it was pretty unbeleivable but true :)

you guys are lucky, for some reason I am getting better mileage diving in "city mode" than highway. I do 80 on highway and I think that is what is killing my highway mpg's. The best I ever got was 290 miles before the light.

i went to splish splash a couple of days ago and i must have been doing a cool 100-110 the entire way...got to 160-170 at half a tank...but then i used the bottom half of the tank city miles and i ended up with 250 at light

Well, for my 04, since its brand new and all I only get like 220 then the light comes on. But today I had around 210 and the guage said i had 1/3rd tank....and i only put in 7.8 G so maybe just maybe its the new car giving me odd readings?
