Dc race header installed.....

Finally got it put in today. Runs great, only problem is that it bangs the shit out of the sway bar. I'm gonna get the dc5 smaller bar and hopefully it will fix that. I got one question, do I need to reset the ecu or does it do it on it's own?

we installed a first gen DCRH on my gf's 04 a couple days ago and it hits the sway bar but it doesn't make any noise...when I say hit, I mean it's wedged up against it but there's no rattles or anything...

Mine hits too. Not sure the RSX-s sway will clear it either, since I have the first version of the DCRH. I'm going to order the Progress front bar shortly.

The RSX front sway should alleviate a lot of the rubbing issues. The ECU will adapt over time but if you want to avoid waiting till it relearns, reset it on your own. Best way is to pull the ECU fuse for 10 seconds, put it back in (with the car off), start the car, let it idle until the rad. fan kicks on.

Yeah i was actually mistaken, while the header is making contact with the sway, the racket that I'm hearing is the custom midpipe hiting the underside of the car. Going back to the shop to have it fixed Monday.

I'm getting my header on TUesday, what did you guys do to install? Was it as easy as taking it to a muffler shop and having them shave the exhaust?

Mine is the first gen, got off ebay for 285 shipped. If any of you guys are thinking of getting one don't shave the b-pipe, just have one made out of 2.25 piping. It only coat me 65 bucks. I have to admit I don't like the buzzy sound, but I can deal with it since the gain is very noticable.
