I just ordered Tein Basic Damper. What do you guys think is the best height for everyday driving car with some handling. I'm thinking about 1.5 all around. Also, is alignment necessary after installation?

Thanks,

JP

1.5 is to high. you drop it like 2.5. 1.5 is the height of the s techs. slam that mofo. and yes alignment is necessary because your axles will get misaligned.

I'm thinking anything over 2.0 drop is too harsh of a ride for everyday driver. I mean we all have different taste.

The BASICs do NOT have adjustable damper length, so the lower you go w/ these shocks, you are losing stroke, which ultimately will leave you riding on bump stops and have no suspension travel (which means it will be a "harsh ride"). The best setup would just be to install them, jack the car up (unloaded suspension) and adjust the perches just so the springs are snugly held in place. This will make sure you are not losing stroke on the BASICs.
