I thought you guys who are boosted would like to have another spot for the turbo timer...

I just drilled a hole into the side of the "coin holder" located under the dash and next to the steering column...

took about 30 min to do and its a great location for the turbo timer if your not into that flashy interior style...

You mean you can leave it running w/o your key right? I saw someone w/ an N/A DC5 with a turbo timer. I think N/A cars can also benefit from a turbo timer, but it's definitely necessary for turbos obviously.

I usually let the car idle for a little bit before shutting it off so I've been wondering about a turbo timer. How much are they and how hard are they to install? I'm not very good w/ electronics...I just uninstalled a HU from an s2k and installed it into my DC5 today, but that's about it.

yeah the turbo timer can also be used for N/A cars to cool down...the wiring isnt that hard but it is intimidating...i the first time i tried installing it, i forgot i had the battery connected still...and so the live wire hit the chassis and blew my ignition fuse...i'd suggest you have someone else install it for you, or if you live near San Diego, i'll do it for 10 bucks...

All you'd need to purchase is a Turbo Timer itself right? (no other wiring, etc?) How much do those usually cost? I like to do installs myself, just to know what's going on...plus it'll help if something goes wrong down the road instead of being clueless.

its best that you buy it new...i bought mine off ebay for 75 bucks New...it came with all the necessary wires and harnesses, instruction manual, double sided tape (i used velcrow, works better)...etc...

If you have an N/A car, there is no reason to get one. It's used so your turbo will cool.

lol@having to leave your key in! Glad you got it hooked up right! Nice install.

the big white wire is the 12v....the black/yellow wire is ignition....and the black/red is accessories...the speed sensor doesnt work w/ the turbo timer for my car...so all you need to plug are those wires and the ebrake wire...
