Well I finally decided to install my sub a better way.

Getting Ready to lay it on! Tape and Foil for protection.

Fiberglass is laid up. Used spray glue to hold the cloth in place.

Fiberglass dried and fleece is stretched and glued with a hot glue gun.
Laid some resin over it.

Last but not least, DON'T let you resin sit too long. :'(

More to come. Hope to get the rest of the Fiberglass laid up this weekend, sanded and painted (unless it turns out shitty then carpet).

Sweet man. I have been thinking about doing this. Just have never worked with fiberglass like this before. Just wondering what is the cost of just making the box going to be?

Cheaper than a particle board square box from Best Buy.
I bought the fiberglass, 1 Gal structural Lay-Up resing and 1/2 oz MEKP Liquid Cataylst for under $80.00 delivered. I went overboard on the fiberglass cloth and ordered WAY too much.

Fleece cost be $9.00 at a local fabric store and Paint or carpet will be another $10-20.
So in total it will be around $100 box.
But you have a custom fit sub box. It is not that hard to do either.

This guy help a bunch. http://web.njit.edu/~cas1383/proj/main/
Also I spent alot of time at Alpine USA car demo install site.

Also you will HAVE to buy a chemical respirator if you don't have one.
Do not use a dust mask, even the best one you can get it will not work.
I already had one but paid like $40.00 for it at lowes.

Thanks.

$100 for a box is not to bad. I am still debating if I should do this or keep it simple with a baselink since I do not want a ton of bass.

Thanks for the heads up on the mask. I work at snap-on so I would think if I got a painters mask from there I should be good. I never would have thought of getting one for this though so thanks.
