Suspension or Intake

i was wondering, Should i get an AEM CAI for $230 NIB or should i get the eibach sportline 2" drop for the same price of $230 NIB...i wanted to know what you guys would do first.. /my car is stock i got it last Friday 07/09/04. :)

well, since you posted this in suspension, i'm assuming you are leaning toward the springs.

that's what i would do if i were you. any suspension upgrades make more of a difference than a single engine bolt-on mod. of all my mods so far, lowering springs have made the biggest difference.

and i have the sportlines. the drop is more like 1.5" to 1.7"

also make sure you do this properly and get an alignment after installing the springs.

Also keep in mind that if you pay $230 for springs, have to pay more for install, then you should invest in a camber kit, and then you need an alignment.

Intake, you can install youself. trust me, im *FAR* from any kind of mechanic and i handled my intake myself!

intake will do nothing for the car.. waste of money. springs will make it look 219 32983x better and handle better. and no, ud ont have to pay for install or camber kit... just install it urself and our tires can handle the tire.. mine were fine with 2.25" drop frm neuspeed.

Springs, camber kit and instal might seem like a lil bit of an investment up front, but IMHO, it's the best first mod you can get. Intake is great with catback and header, but alone it's only a modest bump in power. Plus, making your can handle and brake better should be the first thing prior to introducing more speed. Nothing sucks more than two wheel motion at an autox! Not saying that the intake will induce that much speed...lol
