Hey all, I have an 02 Si and I am looking at headers. I had ordered the HP Ceramic from NOPI but they dont have it, so I wanted to ask about the DC. First of all, the DC ceramic 4-2-1 for the RSX will fit the 02 Si correctly, right? Also, do I need to order any other parts besides the header for it to work properly. I have heard a lot of talk about heatshields and heat gaskets. Could someone fill me in, thanks.

DC Header (http://ephatch.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=3690)

The DC ceramic header is the only piece you will need for
the install. You can use the existing header gasket. (too new to
worry about replacing now) And the existing ring gasket at the
collector base. (also too new)

With regard to heatshield gasket, this is used on the intake side
of the engine, and is not related to the Header install.

So, what exactly is the heat gasket from hondata for?

ok, cool. Finally, what is the general consensus on the chrome (not stainless steel) header from HP. Is it priced so much less than the DC for a reason? I have heard from some that the chrome can flake off, rust, melt. Is DC worth spending extra bucks on?

Now your getting into asthetics. I have seen only one HP chrome
header, and to be honest, it could not hold a candle to the look
of DC. But to each his own.
I know mine looks as good as the day I bought it.
You will have to decide.
