Me and VegasEP got our passes today, so we took a walk through the courtyard where a few people were setting up booths. Here's the EP's we saw. More pics to come, we'll be attending the real deal on wednesday.

That was HKS's EP, and yes, that is an intercooler. The kit, IMO, looks like ass, with the exception of the wing... I think a widebody kit could've been better executed, but that's why they're Wings West, and I'm not. :p

Anyway, this is the teaser. Enjoy.

Beautiful pics! Yes the HKS kit looks very wild and the Type-R spoiler does not flow with it.

I like the whole HKS kit, I just don't like the side skirts.

You guys should spread the word about ephatch.com to these guys.

Actually I think it's just the Wings West kit on HKS's car. We'll see on Wednesday when the hood is up and I can get some decent pics. This was a complete 'setup' day, so nobody was around.

I've got three batteries and 128MB of memory sticks for the show. :D

My poor, poor bandwidth.

Yep it is the Wing's West kit, I see the logo on the side of the front lip. It's not too shabby, I'm looking for something more mild.

That hood is mint.

Kind of like the side skirts, not so keet on the rest off the kit mind,

But the carbon bonnet is nice, and HKS plus intercooler, hmmm i wonder what that could mean :)

guys,
Find out the specs on that exhaust system please.
It looks like the Hiper system to me. Find out when it is coming out, and the specs on it, also street price and if they are going to be making a carbon fiber version?

Thanks for you help, and keep the pics coming.

For those who've got questions about kits, exhausts, etc. :

Having attended SEMA previously, I can tell you that as long as your badge doesn't read "BUYER" or "EXHIBITOR" under it, you won't get any questions answered. They won't give you the time of day. Sad but true.

I'm going to ask as much as I can, but I think you guys will probably find out more from press releases and word of mouth than from what we can bring back from the show. Any questions I get answered will be sent along to the EPHatch crew, but sadly I wouldn't expect too much.

Pax - I'm sure that the HKS car will be inside the booth once the show starts tomorrow, so I'm sure I'll have more pics and especially some engine bay pics (i'm going to beg for these!). No worries EPHatch'rs, I will provide what I can! :)

Hmmm! Not sure, it looks to ricey. I do like the mid rear, the question is how much weight is this thing going to add to the pig ass car. IMO if you add this kit, then we'd need a turbo or a type R engine to get the pig moving.

On the silver car (looks white in the exhaust pic!) it's a Neuspeed exhaust. I tried to get close enough to the tips so my camera would capture the name, but it didn't do so well. :D

I was impressed by it as well, now I'm just curious about the sound of it.

And last, one I decide on a kit (if I do, I don't think I'll put one on), it will have to be after a turbo charger installation. I won't put more weight on this pig. He's already too porky:D

Time for me to throw my .02 in. That was me pointing at the intercooler on the HKS EP. We noticed that the Wings West wing was just a replica Type R wing, but I think it looked pretty trick with the "W" plates stamped into the sides. Also on the rear hatch they removed the factory brakelight and it did'nt look too bad. Also on the silver Neuspeed EP, it had a pretty sick rear strut bar in the back. it actually goes across the back seats and not on the floor of the hatch. Not sure if we got a picture of it. But yeah, I'm gonna be sportin' wood the whole time I'm there. I know Jay is gonna ration his battery life, but I'm gonna get him to take some pix of me groping all the models for your guys' enjoyment. Talk to you later.

they had to shave the part that was keeping the spoiler from sitting down flush. After that, they used some of my existing bolts and then used two other bolts (because the other ones that are in the stock spoiler have a weird square head, so you can't really screw it back in). Then they used two sided tape where the spoiler meets the glass to prevent it from shaking against the glass. They also drilled a small hole in between the two holes in the center.....so they could lead the wire from the ctr light to splice into the stock light. That's about it. It cost me 225.

Alrighty, I just came into work, so now I can sit down and recall a few details of yesterday's show. First I would like to say that if I never see another Wings West kit, I'll be just fine. Almost all the display EP's had this kit, with a couple of exceptions. I saw two different EP headlight kits, one of which was an angel-eye conversion, and a black housing type headlight. The black housing one had a matte finish inside and was awesome looking. Tein and Eibach both had full coilover setups on display, however I wasn't able to get much pricing information, since I didn't have any "buyer" tag on my badge.

Anyway, some photo highlights.

AEM's spark plug cover and fuel rail, very nice pieces.

No worries man :) Actually the vendors were generally nowhere to be found (off dealing with Buyers, not just Attendees). Pricing is usually something which doesn't get mentioned until the product is fully released, and I'd guess that most of this stuff won't hit the market for another few months. Unfortunately I could only get one day off work to attend, but perhaps next year I can try for two, because one day just wasn't enough!

Im not exactly sure i understand what you mean by this. I asked the guy what type of bulb the whole assembly uses and they said the most likely version will be sold with a HID system.

Personally, i thought they looked extremely good. I dont think they look "ricey" at all

Great pics btw, i actually ran into too short in the bathroom and had to do a double take.

What I mean is that angel-eyes were intended for BMW's, and they should have stayed there (same with the Altezza taillights). The units I saw certainly didn't look HID to me, but I could be mistaken. Nonetheless, it was nice looking, but I'd probably like it better without the angel-eye part.

The wheels on the EP that says "Parada" were Advan's. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

It's supposedly Options Auto Salon's EP.

EDIT: As a matter of fact, here's the wheel. They were 18's btw.

While this wheels are awsome, and light weight and everything; I think in a way (at least for me) are a waste of money. First of all they're forged alloy, while they strong and light, they can bend easily (I had a set of SSR compention and Integral, so I know for experience), then if you do bend them, then you're fucked because they will be to expensive to fix (if possible, most cases they're not), or you'll end up having to buy another new wheel. That's why I choose cast over forged, while they still can be bend, they are a little bit stronger than forged, the only thing is that they're heave. But I don't care because I'm not doing SCCA or any other type of racing, just for looks. IMO

Whatever you do, don't get the pro n1, while they look like the advan RG on the picture, they don't look good with a tire mounted on, and the spokes sitck outwards too much. I think the first one are nice.

Dr. Design's kit is the way to go for me. However If I do go for it, I won't be doing the rear apron, I only want the front and side. IMO.

YoMama, I hear what you're sayin about the Advan's and SSR's. I've always loved the look of them, so I may go with a cheaper alternative when the time comes... then again I am not buying wheels for a long time anyway hahaha.

Unfortunately NO! I couldn't find anyone from HKS around, and the car I originally posted was still parked outside in the walking area, with nobody around it. :(

I had really hoped to get some good info on it too.

If I go with any kit it will be a full bumper replacement or a JDM front bumper. I want to get rid of the stock bumpers, they stick out too far and have big reflectors on them.

yomamaInMySi

DTH, IMO that's whay I like abou the stock bumper that sticks out a little bit more than the Type R. The type R looks like some one hit in on the front and sent the nose...it kind looks like Latoya Jackson, big face with a tiny nose.:D I like our front bumper, I just wished they'd made the intake opening a bit bigger and a lip for the front.

I'm totally in love with the Sparco kit. Damn that looks sweet. And it eliminates the "honeycomb" grill. Nice and clean, just how I like it. Too bad you didn't get a pic of the upper wing on it. Remember what it looks like??? In one of the shots you catch a glimpse of it's side, but that's it. Curious.

Do not be fooled. All wheels that claim forged are not created qual. SSR uses a process that they call semi solid forging which is NOT the same as what Volk uses. They are not even in the same playing field. If you read around, the SSR type C wheels is notorious for bending. I myself have seen 3 bend in one day at the track on an M3. I have also seen someone slam dead on into a curb with Volks and blow a tire and not even scratch the wheel.

I do agree though that the money can be better spent. On this car atleast. You can buy cheap cast wheels like Rota's and Kosei K1s and what not, that are the correct offsets for the EP and only weigh a fwe pounds more a piece compared to a forged wheel. And at the price, you can afford to buy another one if they bend. 145 a wheel compared to 450 a wheels is a no brainer.

I was not able to do this with my S2000 because of the geometric design of the suspension. Hardly anyone makes the correct offsets for the car. Those that do, are quite expensive.

This car has a modifiers sticker on the front bumper.
Does this mean they are going to make a modifier of it?

Look closely buddy, you see that reverse scoop on the hood? Extremely effective for evacuating unwanted from the engine bay.

Go check out J's racing, Buddy Club, or Amuse, you will that this is teh correct way of getting heat away from the engine, NOT with a scoop. This also provides a healthy amount of downforce.

It's probably cooler than ours is stock. You can see that the air flows in from the big hole where it says HKS. It then flows OUT where the "1" sticker is.
