04 ep3 type r front lip?

hey guys.. do you know where i can find the 04 type r lip? its seems to be different from the 02-03 front lips...


heres a pic of it... looks "kinda" similar to the mugen lip... its flares out on the sides, then in....

Wassup. Isn't that the JDM Ctr front bumper? You might've confused them for the USDM Ctr front bumper.

#1 thats a ukdm ctr.

#2 there is no USDM CTR front bumper. theres a usdm ctr replica kit.

#3 you can get them from showstoppers im sure.

i dont know if thats a ctr what you just showed cause #1 it doesnt have a red h and #2 the rims arent ctr rims.

anyway, yes, there is a diff between 02-03 and 04 ctr bumpers

oh okay so then the 04 civic type r's still use the same front lip as the 02-03 type r's?

yes, the front bumpers are different. notice on the 02-03s, there's one big opening in front of the radiator.

on the 04s, Honda changed it up a little, it's more RSX-like. it's got the main opening to the radiator, but it's a bit smaller and there are small openings to each side of that main opening. and yes, the lips are different.

the change was ONLY made to the CTRs, not the USDM EP. so you'd have to replace your entire front bumper, you can't just purchase a lip.

if you want a CTR lip, the only available option i know of is the 02-03 CTR replica lip kit.

the 04 type-R has a different front bumper completely, it's not been covered much here, so the lip will be different as well and it will not fit on any USDM civic unless you also have the 04+ spec. CTR bumper as well.
