Mugen released a new oil filler cap, and it appears to be designed for the K20 engine. It is gold in color though, which I don't like as much. Anyone know if the regular style oil cap will fit? I didn't think there was a difference versus older generations. Also, the tank reservoir covers. How many of these do I need? 2?

all the caps should fit but the res. covers do not i tried the spoon ones when i first got the car and the brake res. and the clutch res. are way too small for them to fit, open your hood and see for yourself, i wasted my money,

Was it just Spoon? I don't know why it wouldn't fit unless it was the wrong part number or the JDM reservoir tanks are different sizes. I'll get more info on the specific Mugen ones.

Here are some quotes that make me skeptical towards the original Mugen oil cap fitting.

clubrsx.com: "Double-check that oil cap, most aftermarket acura/honda oil caps are 6 or 6.5 cm in diameter; the RSX needs one that is 5.5 cm to fit in that recessed area."

inlinefour.com: "This new oil cap fits the iVTEC valve covers like a glove....It's gold finish matches Mugen tower bars just perfectly."

Also, does this mean the new Mugen bars are going to be gold in color. I believe the new RSX bars are "mirror." So, who knows what they were talking about the gold matching the bars.

i have the Spoon resevoir covers (blue with white lettering) they fit fine for me, no problems here. --joe:confused:

Does the res. covers do anything or do they just look good? How much are they?

they are supposed to be fire retardent and they are supposed to be used to soak up the excess fluid sometimes worund the brake cylinder, and the clutch resevoir. Basically they just look good, a little JDM touch (relativly cheap!) cant go wrong! IMO -joe:)
