All you JRSC experts I need HELP:pray2:

I am trying to install my kit. First does anyone have a pic of the map relocator installed and where the vacuum tube goes for it? Second when i loosen the screw for the tensioner pulley it doesnt relieve any pressure off the belt. Is that right? Also can you just take off the 4.4" pulley and install the 4.0"? It looks like there isnt enough clearance to pull the pulley off the rail. How do i get the tension off of the belt so that i can remove the belt and street pulley? Anything will help at this point. Thanks:help::usa2:

Ok I cant tell which nipple the hose from the map relocator is on? It looks like the one closest to the fuel rail bolt. And it doesnt look like your MAP is on the throttle body anymore? Is it?

Thanks. This is just pissin me off. I need to get my race kit on so I can drive my car after the 6 speed goes in and I cant get any of it done but install the K-pro. The tensioner is killing me. I dont even think once i do get the belt off that there is room to take off the 4.4 pulley. I am tying to figure out what i need to do so that monday when I go back to the shop i can just knock it out instead of standing there with my thumb up my a$$ like i did today.

The Blue plastic plug is where the line goes you can see the map relocater installed here.

I put tape on the map sensor to protect it, and the plug on the map relocater to protect it also. just so you have an idea

The line gose from the Blug plug to this nipple that the hose is connected to on the intake manifold.
Reason your getting your map air from the intake manifold AFTER the charger is that way the ECU reads BOOST. NOT vaccum under throttle.

any other pics I can help with?

Ok, now when put the relocator on the TB, the nipple that is on it gets in the way of the two factory nips that are side by side on the TB? Do you understand what or where I am saying? So i have to turn the relocator a different way and will only be able to tighten the screw down through the MAP sensor and not both of them.

Where do I run the boost line from?

This pic shows the screw going though top MAP sensor > then Map relocater> then into the throttle body. you have to remember you might have to flip the relocater around so it works.

My relocator now pushes right down into the old spot that the MAP sensor was in. There is only one way to put it in there right?

Take a pic if you can so were on the same page on your relocater bracket and your throttlebody

yeah everything looks the same its just my TB is still attached to my SC. So when I push down the relocator so it matches up with the screw hole the nipple on the relocator is not letting the relocator push in the whole way unless i move the relocator to a point where the holes dont match up. If you look on the JRSC where the TB meets to it, there are 2 capped off nipples on it. they are the ones stopping the relocator from proceeding all the way down. I can put the relocator on i just wont be able to put the screw though the MAP sensor AND the relocator just the sensor. I dont have my car here with me it is in the shop but i am going tomorrow or monday to fix this issue and to figure out how to get the damn belt off.

Take the thtottle body off the supercharger and install the map relocater then put the thorttle body back on.

Thats correct, whenever you loosen the screw the pulley on the tensioner does not loosen right away, you have to loosen the bolt first. Then the tension on the belt will be loosened as well. And at that point you can take off the 4.4 inch pulley by loosening the bolt in it, swap it out, and do the same thing you did in the beginning, just reverse. Really and truly it easy once you do it, try and you will see, good luck

How is that gonna make a difference? Those two nipple are still gonna be there. Does anyone else know what nips i am taking about?

This is the area i think where the two nipples are. They stop the relocator from pushing down cause the relocators nipple is at the same spot they are verticle and the relocators nip goes horizontal

i think i know your problem.. Sounds like to me you have a map relocator from a DC5 kit.. When looking at the enging the nipple on the relocator is on the left instead of the right. So when you try and put it on it hits the nipples right next to it...

Ill be back im going to get some pics to show the difference.

Here are the 2 diff relocators i have.

Here is the spot that the relocator goes

this is the relocator i got from brando on crsx.com (made to fit the type s kit)

This is my jackson relocator that came with my kit.

The vacuum source is found here next to my boost gauge line
http://i212.photobucket.com/albums/cc151/02ep3si/jacksonparts010.jpg

As for the belt.. loosen the big bolt on the pulley pictured below.. then back the screw off to release the tension.

That large bolt that holds the pulley to the assembly is a 17mm. Be careful when swapping pulleys. You do not want to put any unneeded stress on the blower snout.

yep thats the relocator i have the DC5 one

I just checked my PayPal history (just to be sure) and 02EP3SI your the one who sold me the DC5 relocator???? Jeeze i cant imagine how you would know what my problem is??? Thanks!

just to let you know...i did not send you a dc5 one.. Cause the one i sent you came off of my car. I bought a new one when i sold you mine. I shipped you yours the day i left for florida and the one i bought came in while i was gone. I did it that route that way i could make a package deal with the pulley so i could sell it...

Now i am wondering if you are not putting it in correctly or not.

Here is the deal.. I was going out on a limb earlier and said there was 2 different relocators.. I just checked the model numbers for the 2 kits and the part number of the relocator is the same. The only one i have had with the barb on the opposite side is the silver one in the picture and i did not send it to you cause its the one i had ordered and deliverd while i was on vacation. So please do not make a statement that looks like i pulled a fast one on you when i did not.

Thanks and i hope you get your problem figured out.

Whatever man. I know that it is not the right one. Dont you have a DC5 typeR motor? There is no possible way this is the right one. I spent an hour pissed off trying to make it work!
Please someone tell me how you can put the relocator on wrong? It only goes on one way. Its a male end that you put in the female place that the MAP sensor was in.

Here is the deal... yeah i have a dc5r motor.. we are comparing jackson kits though.. and the map relocator is the same for each kit.

Please take a picture of the one i sold you and put it on here and we will do our best to help you.

Ok so my relocator looks like the darker one in your pic of the two EXCEPT the nipple is on the opposite side! So to make sure this is not confused my relocator has the nipple on the same side as the silver one but it is the same size and color of the darker one.

you got a picture of it... If thats the case send it back to me and ill refund your money.. But i do not see why JR would have the same part number for 2 diff relocators

My car is the shop till tomorrow. When I get it back I will take a pic. Look man Im not an idiot. The relocator is the wrong part. Send it back? I need some kind of relocator for my car! I just wont screw down, so it could pop off at any time. You told me you were getting the relocator from a friend. Are you sure that you got the correct one from him in the first place? Like maybe it was for a different application?

04-22-2008, 08:36 AM
it came from his ep kit... the rest of the kit is still sitting on my garage floor. Ill be honest I am going to have the same problem with his cause the silver one in the picture is going to go on his. But i am going to just cut the nipple that it hits off and seal the hole. I really do appologize if you got the wrong one from me, but ill be honest it should be the same one. I just dont see why JR would make 2 different ones with one part number
