First up, the front. Different headlights (the preface are notoriously bad), different shape bottom half of bumper, smaller H badge and smaller grille on the preface cars

New
The facelift got projector headlights, and the mirrors have more triangular edges instead of squared off

The side view. Preface has indicators in the front wings, in the new they are in the mirrors.

New
Facelift sits 15mm lower
This car being the `Premier` version means it comes with tinted windows

Now the back. The facelift has different light clusters

Next up, interior. The preface cars come with a grey and black interior, including a grey carpet, and grey inserts on the seats and doorcards

whilst the facelift comes with a red and black interior. Also a brighter shade of silver on the centre of the dashboard, silver electric window switches instead of black, chrome handles on the vents, and generally replaced grey plastics with jet black. My car being the Premier means it comes with Recaro race seats instead of the Honda ones, and also a red carpet, and a MOMO 1 piece leather steering wheel, with MOMO engraved in the bottom portion (same as DC5 and JDM EP3)
Premier http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b235/nickyboy28/08032008324.jpg
Engine wise, the facelift benefits from a lightened flywheel, reducing the 0-60 time from 6.6 to 6.4 seconds.
The suspension and steering has also been revised. The steering in the preface feels very vague, an issue which has been rectified somewhat, but due to electric steering and not hydraulic, it is still not perfect
Extra sound deadening was added so the car doesn`t sound so raw when thrashing it
The Premier version has the `TYPE R ` symbol engraved on the front brake calipers
There is also an outside temperature gauge on the facelift models, and an audible warning to tell you seat belt is disconnected (annoying)
