ok I JUST got these datalogs.
Ok with out looking at the KAL (Map) file and just looking at the Data logs I want people to post what they SEE WRONG

I cannot open these files.?. I'm not a tuner anyway so I couldn't say what was wrong with the kals.

and just install with Defaults.

The A/F is all over the place. It gets way too lean for a lot of the datalogs, spiking up to 15.97:1 near redline in the second datalog. I assume that's the main reason for the retardedly insane knock count. :meek:

it looks as if the vtec isnt properly tuned/working
as soon as the car hit 5.6k the afcmd goes to 12-1 mean while the actual afr goes to 14-1

yeah the owner said it was a 5 speed but kpro says 6th speed, unless they threw it in reverse while furll throttle then I would go with K pro s readings lol

damn! i looked at it but i dont know what the hell is going on! im completely new to this. i dont have kpro yet but i ordered it with my rev hard turbo kit. what will i need to do to it myself tuning wise thats easy to learn? i dont want to blow my baby!

If you get a moment to answer this side question though; ive been dealing with a very stubborn TSX .kal. Ive got the k24a2 with sri, and nothing else, but on the stock tsx .kal ive got around 27 knocks right around 4600(vtec)-6500. I added a little bit of fuel to that whole area. But I had to subtract almost 5-6 degrees of ignition to get rid of all the knocks. Is that really strange?

what voltage ia the knock level at?
true knock happens around 1.25 vdc
lower than that will still register but it can be attributed to mechanical noise

I've been all over the datalogs for 10 minutes and can't figure out what you're hinting at, Jpax. :mtongue:
BTW, I don't see 6th gear in the datalogs, just up to 5th.

If the gear ratios are incorrect in the gear comp tab, you will have some abnormal indications,,goofy A/F that doesnt seem to correct right.

I have a dying front strut that pops and shows as knock when I'm cruising on the highway (perfectly flat road). :mbiggrin: Scared me until I realized it wasn't real knock...

yeah i know what knock sounds like (jar o'marbles) it was freaking me out untill i got in the garage with the turbo timer on and the fan kicked on and heard a buzzing sound then i went and looked at the CEL and it was going apeshit
only happens with the fan on = not worried about it

Ok from the owner its a 5 speed now, Why kpro showed a 6th gear is weird.
the ignition at low RPM 2200~2600 has a nasty dip, and knock occured there, besides the obvious Lean issuses. the cams are only going to 26 degreees, the map says 40
engine is K24A4 so obviously its not going to rotate past 30 becuase the VTC phyusicaly can't do it.

i saw the dip and thought it was like that for knock
i ddint see anything higher than a 30* on the cmcmd
or ~26 for actual cam angle

yeah but i looked through alot of old datalogs and they were all at zero too
here is the map pre adjustments.
Keep in mind I DID NOT TOUCH THIS. this is what I was given to work with.

The cam cmd seems really screwy, at upper rpm's it isnt following the calibration
The fans are forced on at 185 degrees, a little low sounding.
The kal title says PRB mani, but secondary runners are enabled
did you look at the fuel on the #2 tables.. it looks like someone said. Humm.. ok lets place a genade at 4k RPM and if it was to go off this is what it would look like..
and the TPS ignition retard is completely Fed up. -100 all the way across for a Daily thats bad.

on the subject of datalogs and knock
check this ish out
whenever my heat or ac is turned on i get knock out the ass i think it maybe just noise because the engine does bog a bit or it maybe because of my huge peter built injectors
only happens when my a/c or heat is on
but anyways here is the log of it this also happens at part throttle as well unless im rocking the windows down
also my ect goes to a max of 204 before it stops rising but the indicator is only 1/4 of a way up
and doug i know my tps isnt zeroed (i dont wanna change this 503whp tune)
also if you see any boost increase that is because i was hitting the twostep
well.... it appears as if i cannot upload my kdl file its within the allowed parameters (size ) but i keep getting database error

What exactly does the TPS ignition retard do? I keep seeing allusions to "throttle tip-in" on the Hondata documentation for this and other settings, but no explanation wtf that is.

Before I answered this question I wanted to confirm my tuning testing(and Called hondata), What it does is control the ammount of ignition at throttle tip in, meaning if you lighting step on the thottle for that few secs, it will give 100 pecent throttle when the valve is set to -100. so when your driving and the car starts to jerk back and forth, while just crusing lower this number to -50 and test it.
Granted to make sure the Cam angles are not steping more then 12 degrees at a time under part throttle , if they are then you will have to adjust your cam anglr first then set this tps igniton retard next.
I used it as a tool for finer tuning to get rid of the jerky car on a boosted RSX.

Another thing that will really soften if not eliminate the jerkiness is alot of street tuning the part throttle. Also a light weight fly will also amplify the effect.

Awesome, thanks for the info. After I was tuned I noticed my car got a lot jerkier on deceleration (especially close to idle), but I couldn't find much help on how to tune it out. Now I'll go back and look over my part-throttle tables, and start tweaking them. :cool:

holy crap thats awsome, i am so scared to play with the kpro.

its soo easy to street tune an na car ( i dont like tuning boost cause it takes soo long and little adjustments can make ahuge diff ) especially with my 1600's
mary if i was up there i could rock solid street tune this in one night making power without a dyno ( i have theta dyno its a dyno algorithm software)

the only thing i cant do with the 1600's is add not even a point of fuel or take away cause it will change my AFR drastically caue 1% on these is like 10% on stock injectors

equal to changing stock injectors 17.5 percent, so yeah that shits wicked sensitive, holy jeebus.
