Bad ballast...?

Noticed this morning that omne of my HID's looked like normal headlight in color. My car already had the Hid kit when I bought it. Could the ballast have gone bad? I would think these are kit specific too.:mfrown:

Sounds weird I think we might need a little more information.

What kit do you have?

How long have they been installed?

Did you check all the wires? (Could be a lose ground.)

Hate to be obvious, but switch the ballast with the other side :)

is there anywhere you can purchase a replacement hid bulb that has the wiring to be connected to a ballast? so far all ballasts wiring i've seen look the same.

Damn. I'm still having probs with these lights. The left headlight is white while the right is more of a blue hue. Now sometimes the right light won't come on and shuts off while driving sometimes. I'm gonna use some electrical cleaner on the contacts. If this doesn't work I'm gonna buy reg bulbs and pull the kit.

i have OEM ballast brand new......if you want them!

sounds like a bulb going bad.

but the hids not turning on sounds like either water damage, or cheap ballasts

Well I just pulled the whole HID kit. Installed some reg. lights and I'm good. Maybe I'll get a new kit later on.
