so the spare tire is held tight by that screw right? well, that bracket where the screw threads in broke off. now everytime i turn i hear a small thud because of my spare going everywhere. what should i do put that sucker back on? have it welded? or liquid weld?

wow... can't imagine that bracket broke. Needless to say I'm sure any competent welder could tack that back on for you with a mig welder for little or nothing.

The bracket holding my spare in snapped off as well. I then discarded the spare.

Add a piece of carpet under it. But make sure it stayes dry.

I put an old towel under my tire and bolt it down, just try a towel or carpet.
