I <3 my shifter, at first it looks weird but is so confortable and easy access.

That's the first thing people notice when they see the car, how is the shifter?

Got to love the attention :D

I love the way it feels....
My only beef with it is that it's hard for me to find a good seating position that allows me to clutch properly and still have complete control over the shifting. I have long legs and average length arms...what a bitch.

I do much canyon driving and have found the shifter to be quite functional; you can shift and quickly put your hand to the wheel. Basically, it's a combination of uniqness, functionality and safey all wrapped-up into a 5-speed shift box.

I don't know what your point is but I hope you don't get the urge to stick your weiner up my EP's tail pipe(s).

There are many sicko's out there (even EP owners) that are turned-on by shifters and tail-pipes... I guess you just came-ff seeming like such a person, but I had you all wrong!

Peace

It works well, but aparently you're not suppose to rest your hand there--which is really hard not to do sometimes because its' so natural.

They should have found a way so you could rest your hand there.

When people ask me how long it took to get used to the shifter, I tell them that it took about a block in my first test drive, and that "it should have been there all along."

I saw a dash shifter in Scotland in an unlikely place -- a taxi. There was a little trinket shelf on the dash, and right below the heater controls & radio, sticking up from the shelf-type area, was a gearshift. Surprised me!

Speaking of the dash, I was quite glad to discover the little shelf on the passenger side below the airbag. I had grown to use the shelf on my '86 (can you tell I was happy with that car? I always seem to mention it), and was afraid that any new car of mine wouldn't have one.
