I don't even know what Pulleys do. Can somebody explain the advantages of getting them?

The AEM pulleys are lighter and of a larger diameter.

This basically lightens the load of the engine giving you more horsepower. Granted, it's a negligable amount, but every bit counts, right?

In most cases it's not negligable. You might see 3 to 5hp increase. This is a mod for those that have done all of the basic bolt ons. I'll get them because our basic bolt on list I could write on the palm of my hand.

Along with all the hype about pulleys (I have never been a fan),
they just look better and would consider them final touches. Most
manufacturers of OEM pulleys know this and competition is stiff with
respect to balance and weight.

it must only be a one pulley kit, for the alternator, as we don't have any power steering pump, thus I would think the gains would be on the small side.

I have to say i would like to have the underdrive pulley. Every little HP counts. granted only when the AC is on would i might notice a difference, but hey its worth it if its cheap. 150bucks ? > have to thank about it.

I would be careful when putting an underdrive alternator pulley, on as the steering is electric power assist.
