haha ^^ nice...but you really shoulda sold them to an em2 guy...when i did my 5 lug swap i got 200 bucks out of an em2 guy who wanted disks in the rear
ive been looking at those xxrs for my 240 though, i like them a lot...biggest issue is i want to run some MEAT on my wheels, but want some lower offset, but i also dont want to run extra camber over a degree or two and definitely dont want to pull my fenders...its a tricky situation

Those are my fronts, my rears are up for sale on an em2 forum haha
If you get 9 wide you can run 225/45 and it'll look great and have some more meat then mineee hahaha
I only have -1.9 and don't rub and have crap clearance compared to a 240

It really depends on the tire man. This is the third brand of tires I've stretched. Nitto neo gens, dunlop dz101, and these falken 912s. The dz101 had the most stretched look, second was the 912s, then the nittos. Check out tyrestretch.com to make a decision.
The offset is +25

Just put my new wheels on today. I still have to add a little more camber in the rear and in the front, they are rubbing a bit yet..... I even rolled the fenders in the rear and they still rub on hard left turns....
2" Neuspeed Race springs drop. 17x7 Momo Corse RPM in silver finish, Yoko 225/45/17 tires. I think it looks pretty good. Much better than the old 15" works knockoffs I was running before.

Correct, they're a 17x9 +18.

They're grids, IK-R, or grid offroads, they come in 17x9 in 4x100. Not 8.5

"natural camber" from lowering on stock arms. My kit was frozen so I just put stock rsx arms on and it gave me a good amount of negative camber.
Yes I have racelands.
No I don't think you can pull it off without a roll. At all.

Our wheels are the same. IK-R and Grids are the same wheel. Its all just size dependant. IK-F & IK-R are just for reference on staggered wheel set ups. IK-Front IK-Rear. No matter what they are still Rota Grids.
Because these wheels poke a lot, you need to either roll your fenders, or have lots of wheel gap and lots of negative camber. Your choice.

Well yeah, stock ride height it haha
No but, super stretched tires, camber, then I think it'd be set.
an 8" +0 is somewhat easy to rock in my opinion.
This is a 8.5" +15.
15mm is about .6 inches, so as far as poke, it's about the same
It takes some work, but I don't think it's too difficult for this set up

I agree!!! I initially thought they would be really bulgy or too wide. The tyre/tire looks less wide once it went onto the wheel.

I picked up my set from vrwheels.com. they were pretty banged up with heavy oxidation and pitting on the lips. If i could do it over again i would look for a 17x7.5 or 17x8ish set and buy bigger aftermarket lips.

But yeah "tuner" lugs are meant for aftermarket wheels

i couldn't ever find any ball seats at autozone here, they were all conical.
i have s2000 CR lugs, which are shorter oem lugs that are powdercoated black straight from honda. it's hard as F$%K to find ball seat lugs anywhere in honda thread specs, since everyone driving a honda looking for lugs needs them for their les schwab "tuner" wheels haha

he is right, most after market lugs are acorn. stock honda is ball seat. what will happen is u'll dammage the stock wheels to the point to where u'll make it basicly become acorn, or ur wheels will fall off because ur not allowing a propper sit i.e so gapage between ur lugs and wheel. as far as finding ball seat tuners, i've never seen any but i;ve herd u can order them, they just hard to find

Thank you ephatchers you have saved my life. I wanted to get the lugs yesterday but didn't have the chance. Ended up using my car anyways and on the highway the ride got really shaky and bad. Got off on the side and my passenger side wheel was hanging by a thread. I tightened it and took surface streets home. Today after work I am going to a rim shop to look for some lugs. If it was not for you guys my wheel might have come off. Thanks :)

Whoa whoa whoa. I bought the my car 4 years ago with them gorilla lugs on and haven't had a problem. You mean they can fail on me at any moment? I got Rota Circuit 8 wheels. Or is it on stockies only? And if so, is it on the EP stockies in particular or do all Honda OEM wheels use the same type of lug? I know a couple people that could be using the wrong lugs and I'd like to let them know of any potential hazard.

I speak from my experience and almost losing a wheel on the highway. Check your wheels. If the whole is conical then get conical lugs or tuner lugs as they are called. If the whole is a ball socket get ball seat lugs which are OEM. My car road fine for a while but then it almost failed. Ticking time bomb IMO.

So will OEM wheels always be ball seat and will different aftermarket wheels have different types of aftermarket lugs?
I guess it's safe to just double check oneself before going out and getting some lugs. Good looking out fellow hatchers!
