I currently have 17 x 7 gramlights with 215/45/17s. I'm also lowered about 1.5 inches. Would 225/45/17 fit without rubbing?

No, but if you carry people in the back...maybe. Highly doubt it.

Rollin the fenders you "could" possibly get away with it..... but We have the RSX rims (16s') with 225/50/16 Falken 912s'

Slight rub over really BIG bumps :msmile: but fits perfectly IMO!

If you have a offset less than 40mm, you will have issues.

I'm running 225/45/17 with a +42 offset I believe and am dropped 2.0 in via H&Rs and I have no rubbing whatsoever

I am running 225/45/17's with +45 offset and they would rub in the rears with the MugenSS 1.8" rear drop, but fit fine up front 1.5" drop.

I like to know as well, i have a 17x7.5 wheel but don't know the offset as I am unable to find it on the manufacture's website. I am lowered 1.4 and am interested on replcaing my 215 with 225, would it rub?

I just ordered some 225-45-17 nitto neogens and only rocking a 40mm offset. So i'll let you know how much they rub if your still interested. I might have to rock a 3 or 5mm spacer.

I am running 225/45/17 Bridgestone RE01R's on 17x7 Enkei RS-V's. I am dropped a little over 2" front and rear with slight rubbing in the rear, only when the road dips. Other than that no problems at all!

Yes the car is regularily autocrossed and every once in a while when i have time and money i'll attend a couple track events.

This year i'll be going to at least two events, one at Gingerman Speedway in Michigan and the other at Road America on Oct 30th!

its nice to go to the track but its a lot of money to race. gas, tires, fees, and other bs..last time i had to get gas at the track i spend 80$ just in gas its was crazy

Yeah i know, not sure if i'll be spending the extra $40 on Race Gas, we'll see! But i know what you mean that's why i prefer auto-x! Not to mention auto-x is hella harder than the circuit!

imo 225/45/17 looks better, but the tire calculator says that your speedo is 3.1% off (60mph on the speedo, actual travelling 61.9). Cause for concern?

Most of the time you are just cruising with the rest of traffic anyway. I just keep myself 5 over posted speed limits anyway to prevent getting more tickets. I already got myself 2 for the year, and that is 2 too many!

so this shouldn't affect abs?

its too small of a variation to make any difference.

Tanginangshyet

so the wheel offset would pretty much tell whether 225/45/17s would fit?

mokujinX5 do you have any pics? I'm running the same suspension and tire combo you have and I'm rubbing in the front and rear on real hard turns and I'm about to get another set of rims.

225/45/17 on 17x8 +42 only rub a little in the rear. on H&R's also. no fender roll either.

Damn i wish Work would make the Emotion CR-Kais in a 17x8 4x100..... I would have to raise the car up a bit, however i could get them to work!

I rubbed like crazy in the rear when dropped with 17x7.5 45 offset and 225/4517 Azenis 615s. I also took some of the negative camber out so the car would rotate better. I think if you left the stock upper arms in you would probably be okay with just rolling the rear fenders. No problem in the fronts with 225/45/17.

So it sounds like the rear is the only place there is a problem. I am looking at getting a set of Buddy club p1's and throwing on some 225/5016 falken azenis rt-615s for auto-x. Sounds like they clear the front just fine and rub in the rear, but rolling the fenders in the rear would fix this... Can anyone confirm? Thanks,
