i removed the bottom portions, but i cant remove the backs. does anyone know how to???
In the middle, you'll see a plastic piece attatched to the frame of the car by (if I remember correctly) four nuts/ bolts. Remove those bolts, & then pull the seat forward in the middle. Pulling forward causes the pegs holding the seat in place to pop out of place.
Voila.

Well, you don't have to. I didn't when I first removed my seats, but just recently did I take out the seat belt brackets on the c-pillar.
