Headlight Harness Question [Archive]

Hey, I think I may have an opportunity to buy a set of JDM projectors with TSX HIDs retrofitted. The deal would be for my stock headlights + cash for his. The thing is my car is a 2003 and his is a 2005. I know that you need a harness change/modification if you have an 02/03 and want projectors, would the same go for installing 02/03 headlights on a MY05? Is there some way we could use each other's harness or something? I'm a complete noob when it comes to electrical, so any help/input would be awesome.

Lemme get this straight your going from your 9006 - 9005 harness to a H4 harness

meaning you have the 05 and he's got the 02?

I'm going from H4 to 9005/9006

He's going from w/e the JDM projectors use to H4

Well for you just do a H4 - 9006-9005 Conversion harness For him well he's gotta do a 9006, 9005 to H4 doing it backwards I have no clue how lol but if you check out my thread about this same topic in the how to section youll see a diagram for this harness should be straight foward from there if anything PM me

Thanks for the info, I saw the harness diagram earlier and that is probably what I will be using. Just wondering if there is some way we could just swap/reuse our harnesses or something. Instead of making two harnesses. I guess I should have clarified.

There could be but do you really wanna hack apart your stock harness ya kno

Makes sense, looks like I'll be making two conversion harnesses. Thanks for the info.
