has anyone tried this yet. the power ball for wheels is a nice product, just sucks that is $14+ for a sponge on a stick.

The grit and crap that is picked up by these powerballs stays inside the porous structure of the foam and scratchs your paint/rims etc. I tried one of their polishing powerballs and it is a pure scam.

thanks, i figured that if it was just a big powerball like the one for wheels that it would blow for the paint.

If the one for paint has that metal/plastic thing that holds the foam like in the regular one I wouldn't want that to hit the paint if more pressure is applied.

You do know you need to wash these from time to time (after every use is recommended). They're easy to take apart. Soak in some DP pad cleaner, and then hand aggitate and rinse under clean warm water...

had one for 2 years no problems yet.
