I have heard this name thrown around a little bit but my buddy has a pair for sale that has sparked some interest. I was wondering if anyone has heard of them and know if their stuff is any good (I know they used to make some decent stuff, but I think they got bought out.)

They were bought out by the Anaba Corporation.

They have entry level, medium level, and high end equipment.

Asking if "Hifonics is any good" is about as vague as you can get...

So I decided to go find a shop that was a Hifonics dealer and listened to the speakers. They really weren't anything special, but for $50 or so, it was a decent deal. But still I think I would rather spend my money elsewhere.

Hifonics.... Go for the old Zed designed units. Sometimes you can get lucky and get one for a good price because someone does not know what they have.

HiFonics was the shit at one time, not really sure now. One of my friends had a Zeus in his Mustang, it would drive whatever was hooked to it to it's limits and not even heat up!

Old amps were great new amps suck i bought a zeus before my alphasonik amp. It blew in like 2 days from overheating and it was winter with my seat down.
