I'm an exhaust junky....

Needless to say i have been through a lot of exhaust setups. I tend to get bored and want something new every now and then. I have been through roughly 10 exhaust setups in the 3yrs i have owned my 05 ep. My favorite one to date was the t1r 63mm. I sold it when i was about to boost my a2, but i ended up not boosting it so i kinda wish i woulda kept it, oo well. The exhaust i have now i am really happy with as well. it's the buddy club pro spec modded to meet my bcrh. Anyway, on with the list.

.stock header, jp midpipe, stock axle back. quiet, but had a nice lil grumble with the midpipe(very happy)

.dc shorty header, megan test pipe, greddy evo2. sounds nice and quiet with the stock cat but pretty raspy with the test pipe

.dc race header (dc-5 specific), megan test pipe, invidia g200. bought this not knowing it wouldn't fit since it was also made for the rsx-s, however i put it on for a few min to see what it sounded like and it sound low and bas-sy (i liked it).

.dc rh (dc-5 specific), hp racing midpipe, stock axle back. kinda raspy but worked while i was chosing my next setup.

.dc rh (dc-5 specific), 04 rsx-s midpipe, stock axle back. quiet and sounded pretty good

.dc rh (dc-5 specific), apex'i n1 catback(modded to fit). LOUD!!! but not too bad. sounded good with a2 cams but not so good with skunk2 stage 1 and 2's.

.jrrh, t1r 63mm catback. MY FAVORITE TO DATE. awesome and unique sound. a lil loud but not bad imo. highway crusing was great, no drone. in vtec, it sounded AMAZING!.

.stock header, stock cat, skunk2 70mm. bought if for boost, but ended up not boosting. not too bad with a stock header/cat, but with a rh, LOUD!

.bcrh, 05 dc-5 (type-s) midpipe, stock axle back. sounded pretty good imo. quiet but it let the intake scream!

.bcrh, buddy club pro-spec (modded to fit). i love this setup! sounds great out of and especially in vtec! there is no real highway drone which is something i was worried i would have but i don't :mcool:

yea yea..shh! lol....well i had the boosted a3 (greddy kit) then i bought the s/c for my a22 (never installed) and then pieced together a custom turbo kit for the a2 and never installed it lol

but i do sell the previous exhaust before i buy a new one, so the new one doesnt really hurt me money wise. for example, i sold my t1r for $500 and bought the skunk2 70mm for $469shipped. and then sold that for $400 and bought the pro-spec for $445 shipped

I've been swapping so many exhaust setups and making my own custom catbacks for so long that I'm sick of it. I really want to find a setup that is quiet and doesn't hit my rear sway. I may just go back to stock...

i can tell you with a stock muffler sounds great. hks muffler is just to loud.

its also all relative to your mods... sam has a nice list... his car will always be louder than a stock motor or someone with just i/h/e.

Ya the skunk2 is really loud but it sounds amazing(like a crotch rocket on steriods),i put the silencer on and it made it a bit more quiet.With the silencer on you dont get a drone unless u go over 70mph.
