I will be useing a RBC head(Z3) on my K24 build. I didnt want to use the bulbous coolant outlet with the EGR mount and blockoff plate,

and the K24A2 coolant outlet just looks strange with the extended heater outlet,

so I took the K24A2 coolant outlet and my Bridgeport and went to town. I removed the extension and then milled it flat and reduced the center rib. Then I end milled a hole where the existing coolant passage was, then tapped it for a 1/2"npt threads. I plan on a 1/2"npt x AN-10 fitting there and a 90 degree AN-10 fitting on the heater hose, after black powder coating to match the VC, mani, and chain case. This could also be used with a 1/2"npt plug for a non-heater equipped car for a very clean look. So if you want one like this for a non-heater equipped chassis, let me know and I will do a few of them. I still have to radius mill the new boss to a uniform circular shape, I have to wait for a new radius mill bit to get here.

Ok, I started the smoothing process prior to the powdercoating.

I started with a flap wheel and got the general shapes down. Now it is a couple hours of hand sanding to get it finish sanded and then beadblasted.

Hey Doug, how many units will you be making? I might be interested if I decide not to use the blockoff plate.

I will be seeing how much interest there is before committing to making more. The machine work will be around 40$ each. It isnt something that is neccessary or will gain you any power, it is strictly asthetics.
