It is a dash kit that is made for our dash, not modified for another vehicle. But the best thing is that it comes in SILVER!!! I have waited so long.

I hope the colors match. Looks like my foglights might have to wait.:(

It's for aftermarket headunits. The ones currently available are only in black. This appears to be in the same silver color as our interior.

Looking at the Metra website they describe the poduct. I could not find anyplace that sells any metra product online, although I am doing homework so my efforts weren't all that great. Description from metraonline.com

"New to the sport compact market is the 2002 Honda Civic SI and Metra is the first to develop the dash kit to upgrade the sound system. The 99-7860 is available in black and silver and is loaded with awesome features. This kit gives you the option to install a DIN or ISO DIN unit with an under radio pocket. Or two ISO mount units, or two DIN units or a double Din unit. No matter what setup you choose, you will still end up with a factory fit and finish. This is ideal for upgrading to a head unit and sound processor, or better yet, a video screen and DVD player, whatever combination you need. Get the installers choice, get Metra. Check out what the best has to offer. Join us at the CES show Booth #2812 January 9-12, 2003.

I've got this dash kit. I got it when it was only out in black. Just spraypainted it and then did the install. Looks alright....Because I painted it, it's not exact but close enough.

Didn't get the wire harness plug. I got all my stuff thru a friend that works at Tweeter. I went a while w/o a dash kit until this one came out in black. I got it for free because the guy ordered the dash kit but they sent me the one for the 99-00 Si. I called and bitched and they sent me this one for free because they had "lied" (or so I accused them) on their website.
