i use the ICE paste wax, best wax i've ever used, can apply it in the sun and doesnt leave any residue on plastic or glass... i love it. also does a decent job at hiding some swirl marks

here it is after almost a week after being applied and driven daily

I currently use Zymol, but my stuff is old and getting all chunky haha. I should pick up some of this stuff for my next wash. I kinda stopped caring about waxing my car though. SSM looks the same with or without wax. That's the good/bad thing about SSM. Never looks dirty but never shines when it's clean :mfrown:.

you mean the cleaner wax. i like it alright. its very easy to apply and it leaves the the car looking nice, though not as nice as the turtle wax. one advantage it does have is that it last for a while compared to turtle wax, plus it smells like bananas:mconfused:

I like the wax, and the new interior detailer paste is niiice.

But the liquid clay bar is pretty so so. Get a true clay bar/ cleaner wax and then use the turtle wax ICE on top of it

hand. it comes off really easily, a buffer would probably do a little damage.

Im gonna pic some of this stuff up over the weekend. I've been thinking about getting it but I wasn't sure how it was going to do I hadn't heard anything. Seems like a temp fix over the summer before u can roll it into the garage and wax it down.

Tried it out last night. For the amount of effort it took to do it the results were pretty damn good. I did a wash for dish soap to remove the old wax, clay bar, wash with car wash soap and the did the wax and it only took about an hour maybe a little longer.

i'm sorry but iv'e used alot of different waxes (turtle wax, mother's, meguiar's, zymol, nu finish, 3M, etc) and i think the 2 best waxes which i reccomend at work every day are Meguiar's and Mother's. they blow away the rest of the waxes, in shine, protection and they last the longest.

that's true, but you cant argue with how easy the turtle wax is to apply, and it doesn't leave any residue on the trim.

i picked up the spray detailer to use in-between waxes, it works just as great.

Those 2 brands are probally the best off the shelf wax brands but to use the meguiar's or mothers 3 stage wax system takes a good couple hours at least. The turtle wax ice took an hour to clean the car twice, clay bar and wax it.

yea this is true, but i don't mind since i usually do it on a day off where i have the whole day and it usually takes me around 4 hours, i wash it twice, dry, then polish on and off, then wax on and off. i always hate it while i'm doing it but once i'm done, its so worth it. hopefully it will take alot less time now since i'm picking up a buffer tomorrow at work :mtongue:

Buffer definatly helps. My brother used to detail cars professionally so he has a really good buffer and has some high quality stuff thats a 4 stage system. Used that a couple times on my car and it looks good. It takes about 4-5 hours and the car looks really good.

I used the Turtle Wax Ice twice this past weekend and its so easy to use u could almost do it after every wash or 2 cause it takes so little time to do it.

I'm goin to try this for 2 reasons:

1. I like having my car waxed at all times
2 I am extremely lazy about waxing it.

yes I know this is a paradox but thats how I am.

This stuff isn't wax though.... BUT its amazing to use in-between waxes or after the rain dries up after last nights thunder storm. Also can clean up bird poop pretty well.

Never had any good experience with a synthetic wax, didnt last long and didnt cover swirls as well. Ive used shining monkey caranuaba(sp?) wax in the past and did not have a single complaint. Virtually, covered 50% of my swirls with only one coating. Rubbed on, buffed off.
