I'm looking to to put a Pioneer AVICD3. I can't seem to find the installation kit for it.

Does anyone know where to get one for a double din?

i believe that the openings are a 1.5 din, not double din.

settle for a flip out TV.

Huh?
That doesn't help me.
lol.
I'm putting a double din head unit in my car and I need to find a face piece to install it.

Well I did a search and found this
http://www.ephatch.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=19063
I went to crutchfeild.com and found this kit.
http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=112200&i=120997860&tp=3121
Now does anyone know if this kit from Circutcity is the same kit? I just need the piece with the thin center.
Sorry I can't get the link to load.

Thanks.

You need Metra part number 99-7860.

that doesn't look like it's for a double DIN headunit, or am I missing something?

I used the trim piece that came with my double DIN...but, it didn't fill it out perfectly. I'm going to eventually fiberglass something to clean it up.

is the difference between the 02 and 04 the same for that kit. I looked at page 4 and only saw 02. Is this kit black or silver. Thanks in advance

It can be used in any 02-05 si.

The kit is black in color.

You will want to ISO mount the radio, think of the "kit" as merely a "trim kit"

Quick question for those of you with the double din units, does your typical double din head unit attach to the metal bracket that the stock deck connects too? or does it just hang into the metra adaptor like the single din does?

Thanks

You want to attach it to the metal bracket also known as ISO mount it. the plastic piece is just a trim piece and just snaps in place its not really meant to hold any headunit and also makes it that much easier to be stolen as it is not bolted in any way at all.

Yes I had to drill a few new holes on the stock metal braket to get my headunit flush. If you look at the link in my signature you will see a pic of my head unit installed.

Cool, when i mounted my single DIN I wasn't too thrilled, it rattles a bit and I'm due for a new one anyways ;)

Thanks,

The iceobx got from a RSX. Took me months to track one down. For the fog lights they were on it when I bought it new at the dealer.
