View Full Version : Using DC5 clutch instead of Ep3 clutch?

I'm having a hard time remembering if that was possible and they were interchangable. I could have sworn you could use them in our 5spd but we had to have a K20a2 flywheel, but I also remember that our flywheel is the same as their flywheel. Hence you see my dilemma. Anybody know what you need to do to run a RSX-S clutch in our 5spd?

i could of swore all you needed is the a2 flywheel. i think they have ep specific clutch kits now though.

I'm getting a Exedy OEM clutch for $50 shipped brand new in box. Otherwise I'd just get a brand new NRH3 specific clutch.

Make sure the Exedy is specd for the A3 flywheel. There are only a few companys that make a EP3 specific clutch.

The A2 flywheel and clutch fit on the A3 crank just fine.

The A3 and A2 flywheels have different pin locations for mounting the pressure plate.

Perfect. Thanks for the input Doug. I was hoping you'd pop in. I'll be buying the clutch then. K20a2 flywheel (lightweight hopefully) will be on the "on the look out for" list.
