So I let my boyfriend, let me restate that, ex-boyfriend, use my car while i went oversea to Amsterdam for a month. Apon returning to the states I find my lower control arm broken. hmmm.... now he claims that they must have been "flimsy" because all he did was hit a crub. I don't buy that excuse. Have you ever hit a crub and had this happen or is he full of it?

I say B.S. He's full of it, there's no way that is can just break off after hitting a curb. Make his ass pay for it!!

is one of your wheels destroyed ?, if he hit a curb hard enough to break a control arm that wheel would be totally destroyed, and in which case I might believe him. Control arms are pretty strong pieces, it would take a real "whack" to break one.

I really don't know how else he could break one unless the car was in an accident and he got it all painted up and fixed by an auto body shop before you got home - and he forgot just one thing - the suspension repair !
