But no actual red yet (2nd page) haha... he did the hatch and the hood already, but my camera ran out of space =(

He's mostly just taken it apart, taped it up, took out the gazillion dings that were on the car, and a few dents from hit and runs. He said it'll be done by next week... cause i also have a HFP kit that he's gotta do and a VIS M-Style CF hood that he's re-clear coating (which you can see is wrapped in the VIS plastic inside the car in the first pic)

on a side note...why didn't you take out the sub, i would be afraid of someone damaging it or spraying/smudging paint on it.... especially when the hatch is off

haha, yea, i thought about it... but i didnt wanna deal with the wires n stuff... i'm not too big on the I.C.E stuff, so if there's a smudge or two, i'm not gonna go nuts.

besides:
1. the box was handmade by a friend is and falling apart so i need a new one anyways (it was free =])
2. the P2 Punch was only like 50$ cuz i bought it off a friend...

I agree... I'm tired of people repainting MR... it looks good.. but why not go for an non-honda color? I don't like flat colors all that much. You gotta have flake or pearl or something.. May I suggest that nissan pearly white? its on some altimas and infiniti's .. :msmile::msmile:

yea, i actually considered the cosmic grey and almost went with it... but in the end, i wanted to pull away from the darker colors and change it up to something brighter, which im happy with =) thnx.

I'm prob paying more than I should be, but this guy does put in a lot of time and detail in his work from what i've seen when i was there...

1. he said red, orange, yellows etc. cost more than other colors, even mica and metallic colors.
2. he is also painting the full HFP lip kit
3. he is also re-clear coating a CF hood so that would run like an extra couple hundred right?
4. he took out a shitload of dents.
5. and yes, he did paint the door jams and part of the engine bay (since it wasnt taken out).

so what do you think i should be paying, before i even say it... lol

haha, 5-6k would be way outta my price range. but yea, 4k it is. yea, i dont think i've seen a Milano Red HFP kit, so it should be interesting. thnx for the props!

the shop i go to is highly respected, and a couple mercedes and bmw dealerships use them exclusively. they do all high end porsches, ferraris, lamborghinis, etc. so you get work that looks better than factory, albeit at a premium.

for example, after an accident i had to get my rear bumper repainted along with a new taillight, a large dent taken out of the driver side quarterpanel, and repaint the entire driver side quarterpanel. total estimate: 2200 dollars. hooray for the lady's insurance.

but yea, i mean i was just looking for a good quality factory paint job, nothing crazy... but every1 told me not to bring it to the dealership.

so i went to him and he pretty much guranteed me that when he's done, it'll look beter than factory. and seeing some of the parts painted alrdy, im pretty much satisfied cuz i am getting what i paid for. not show car status of course, but just a good quality paint job.
