Stockinteriors.com? interior carpet? Anyone?

i know before the forum went down, someone here went on stockinteriors.com and picked up a red carpet. anyone know who this was? cuz im trying to get that JDM red carpet look on a budget and wondering which color would best match the JDM Red.

im looking at bright red

None match the JDM CTR seats. I tried and compared.

I have the free samples they send out and am not satisifed with any of the colors. I will say the material looks to be high quality.

the neon red, I think is the closest match. the other reds just look faded/dirty. i too ordered the samples.

from what ive seen if you go neon and then get the type r mats its obvious...

if you JUST want red carpet and do door panels i think it will be fine, the 2 reds are far enough apart that it wont be obvious, but if you put mats on the carpet you will be able to tell i think

what did you do to make the carpet not have wrinkles from going over the frame supports that are under the seats and with all the other angles? The carpet wasn't pre-formed for our car was it?

it's supposed to be molded for our cars. mine fit good. the only thing i had to do is cut and drill some hole for the seat. i have some wrinkles on it but you can't really see them on pics. if i had to do it again i would put some kind of glue on floor and carpet. try to stretch the carpet before you bolt your seats, it could help.

I bought the carpet on stockinteriors.com. The carpet is a very good carpet. It does not come precut which kinda sucks, but it can be formed a little bit. You have to cut out all the holes. If you have your stock carpet still use it as a pattern. I didn't so I had to cut it in the car. I bought the neon red. It is pretty close the the Type R carpet.

wow. thanks for all the replies. yeah i think im gonna go for the neon red. it does seem to be the closest to ctr color.

also, im gonna order some dark charcoal or graphite headliner fabric cuz light grey headliner fabric is teh fail.

I think you can pay some extra money to Stockinteriors.com to have the carpet pre-formed with sound deadening, it might be worth looking into as it would be better cut and pre bent around the frame.

yeah. The custom fitted-ness of the extra padded carpet option is what most appealed to me when I was looking at it.
