I got my car aligned and they could only get -1.9 on the rear driver side and -1.8 on the rear passenger side. the honda specs are -1.6 camber. toe and caster were aligned to spec in the rear and camber caster and toe were aligned to spec in front.

suspension gurus, are my tires going to see increased wear or is -.2 more camber ok?

What kind of camber adjuster do you have? I got .7 on my rears with the SPC camber adjusters. Plus, I think the stock specs have a + or - factor involved.

You will be fine, camber wont eat the tires that much at all, but was the 1.9/1.8 on purpose to prevent rubbing or such? or is that just how much they could adjust it to? and what camber arms do you have? you should be able to adjust to almost any setting you want.

i have stock camber arms, hence why they couldn't get it to spec.

So you'd rather deal with almost 2 degrees of negative camber in the rear? LoLz!

What's the rest of your alignment specs look like?

I'd put a camber kit on a stock EP, just to get as far away as possible from the craptackular OEM alignment...

its not 2 degrees moron, its .2 degrees which is 1/5 of a degree.

and if you read, everything else is in spec.

i'm in the same boat colin. I only want to drop 1.5 since i don't want to buy the camber kit and I live in PA. 100 bucks is steep, but i'm going on beaver county shops and I wouldn't let them touch my car. Looks an other reason for me to take a trip to wexford.

well I've been riding on rears that were at -2.7 since I've owned the car, the rears dont wear at all compared the fronts which are almost perfectly verticle (-.2 and -.1), so considering the amount of rear camber I got away with (and will until I get the new springs in the rear) from being dropped, I think you will be ok. it sure looks funny though

my vote is save yourself some time and just PM musty...hell be able to tell you what to do, though he may suggest you go a little more radical than you need to, he is the crazy old racer afterall

Being its Wexford I think I know the answer. Do they use/have laser alignment? Thats the same price Pepboys charges and they have a laser alignment table, but you don't know if they do a good job.

That sounds pretty damn close to -2 degrees to me.

Also, given that "everything else is in spec" do you know how big of a range "spec" is? Honda's recommendation for alignment settings is sloppy, at best. Without knowing your exact settings, your setup could be all over the place and still well within "spec."

Congratualtions on your setup though...I'm sure you are enjoying the decrease in wheel gap, along with all that extra understeer.

the range is true, my printout from this afternoon says rear camber should be 0 to -1.5
