Hey guys. I was considering painting my stock 04-05 Si wheels either gunmetal, gold, or bronze. Anyone have pics of their wheels painted???:msmile:

i'm sure there are some pics floating around here somewhere. I seen a few and if done right they don't look half bad.

take off the tires and get the stock rims powdercoated in NHBP then get some really nice new tires

I am gonna get new wheels eventually I just don't have the funds to buy them:mfrown:. Painting them will be free since i have a hook up at a body shop so money isn't an issue by painting them. Kinda looking to freshen up the wheels.

You're better off just leaving them they way they are.

Save money the paint is like $40.00. I would do them gunmetal it will look sick on the NHBP.

you should have posted a poll... if I was going to paint them... i would go with black...

Well if you had good pads and actually track the car, the black helps hide the dust. Or you could just be a hardparker and pretend your never-seen-a-track 150 whp Civic really needs the benefits of forged $3000 wheels?

no need to exaggerate on the $3000... it was just an opinion... personally, ive painted my stock wheels b4 and got tired of it after a short while... ur ok to feel different especially if ur going to have a different purpose for them...

I didn't mean to come off harsh. I respect opinion. I just think some people might not see the benefit. But yea, a good set of wheels can get up in that range - and with tires - definitely.

Painting stock wheels can look good. Getting new wheels can look good. KEEPING them stock they look good. Really the only thing you gotta ask yourself, "Is it worth spending the money?"

Getting new wheels, you can change the diameter, and the weight. (Build Quality) Painting your wheels is purely cosmetic. (Do they also need to be fixed?)
