Are 02-05 brake pads the same?

I'm about to order some pads and the description says that they are for an 02-03 civic si. I have an 05 and I'm assuming that they would fit the same, right?

No, they are not the same.

Honda OEM part numbers:
02-03 45022-S5D-A00
04-05 45022-S7A-000

Would the 02-03 work on the 04-05? Possibly. But the calipers are different also, so it may be a size thing......(I know, I know - That's what she said....:mconfused:)

I didn't know the calipers were different. Maybe I should just make sure that the description says 04-05 then, to avoid risking anything.

I don't really know what the difference is, but the pads from the 04-05 fits directly into the 02-03 and vice versa. I found this out 2 years ago when I went to Honda and requested some 02-03 brake pads, but they were out of stock? I asked for 04-05 pads instead, which they had in stock. The parts guy told me they are not going to work, but I told him I'll try it out anyways.

0203 pads will NOT NOT NOT fit 0405 calipers.

If you own an 0405, just make sure to get brake pads for a base rsx.

I just checked here and it looks like they're all the same. Unless they're unaware of the fact. I don't know.
