damnit, I have work tomorrow...any ideas on how to quickly diagnose this?

Is this the same problem you had in May?

I mean, did you ever fix the code the last time?

it went away on its own that day...

I just went around my block about 8 times and I can't duplicate the problem...A/C or not.

I unplug and repluged all of the sensor on the TB just incase one didn't seat properly from yesterday

I'm gonna clear the code and see what happens.

ok, I cleared the code and did the idle re-learn..I'm gonna take it around the block a few more times again.

So I can't duplicate the problem..i just drove all around town for about 20 minutes..and nothing.

only thing strange is:

if I'm coming to a light

1. slow down with the clutch engaged
2. release the clutch
3. RPM's drop to about 1k
4. As I get closer to a stop the RPMs jump up to about 1.5k
5. I come to a complete stop the RPMs drop back down to about 750-950k

Now this could be normal I just never payed attention to it this closely before.

If you're rolling in neutral, the engine tends to idle higher than usual because of electrical demands.

to and from work today 20 minute drive each way, all highway...couldn't duplicate the issue.

happened again today after my amplifier install. (disconnected battery) didn't do the idle re-learn cause I forgot

1. drove for 20 minutes and was fine
2. on the way home after wal-mart with the a/c on, the car revs up to 2000 on idle at a light
3. Car bucks when I let off the gas.
4. disconnected the battery
5. Cel went away
6. did idle re-learn
7. test drove and everything ran 'ok'
8. car still has a bit of a rough idle when stopped.

its back again...this shit is really starting to piss me off.

so my idle is steadly getting rougher/worse..I guess this is a good thing since I may be able to get a better idea of what the hell is wrong instead of guessing.

still no cel.

ok, on my way back from Franklin Mills Mall it happened again. However it happened when I was running the a/c.

It only seems to do it with the a/c being on for a while.

does anybody have any ideas/seen this problem before?

oneglory

nobody eh?

Looks like i'm just gonna change the IAC. strange that it only does this after I run the a/c for a while.

you sure you cleaned the IAC well? Did you take off the plastic electric part of the IAC and make sure the valve was spinning freely?

yes.

lemme know if you replace it, because im having this same issue. I havnt cleaned my IACV yet, but Id rather just replace it. Cause with my luck ill fuk it up in the process.

ok, so i broke down near the 95 north entrance next to dave and busters in Philly last night after the game

time to start playing the replace the sensor game. which is awesome because the problem only arises intermittently.

Do you have Kpro? If not then replace the IAC(make sure to replace the gasket as well)

oneglory

no kpro.

I only asked that as you can check what the operating voltages are, both supply and demand.

Do you have a big honking amp or blast the radio very loud?

Check the battery connections.

Just thinking it could be electrical demand related along with a weak/dirty IAC.

i have an amp and sub, but its barely 150watts. and the rough idle was from before the amp install. After my IAC cleaning it actually got worse.
