I have a 1973 toyota celica st which I converted to a manual trans. I put an ACT heavy duty pressure plate and a four puck unsprung hub cerametalic clutch disc. When I went to put the street strip disc in it I noticed the .002" groove in the pressure plate and flywheel. Is this what happens with our ep's as well with these cerametalic discs?

Most people cant feel .002 thousanths.. Can you elaborate on what grooves your talking about?

If you can see it then you need a resurfacing but .002 is very very tiny.

Ok well actually I meant .020" sorry about the cornfusion. I already had it resurfaced but, what I was really wondering is if this happens with all cerametalic discs.

Normally it will not. I think it would be from misalignment of the clutch.
