so those are 9005s and H1s? I have a couple sets of H1s left over from my prelude, so that should save me a tiny amount.

yeah, they come with the 9005 for high beams...super white and you can use the h1s you already got, i bought white h1's too match the high beams

Those are the replicas, it says depo on the front. They look good though, same light pattern as the genuine headlights.

finally someone who isn't just toying with members. thanks bro... Look pretty good especially for depo. usually their cutoffs are crap but that must be a tsx halogen replica inside there.

+1 for not teasing.

That right-side flare looks much more tolerable with the halogen bulbs. How does the light output compare with your stock headlights (and what year were they)?

I'm surprised no one else has posted pics up of the replicas, the pattern looks good. :msmile:

Looks good man, I have the rhd jdm projectors and had to mod the shield flat to use on the streets. Your cutoff line is beautiful, mine is completly flat. Great pickup and damn you for saving so much money and looking better than mine lol jk.

did you have to change the connector to make it H1 or is it just plug and play? i can never remember which type of low beams are in the 04-05.

RHCP0801
06-13-2008, 09:22 PM
all plug and play for the 04 and 05's.....so easy to put in and i just adjusted them tonight and they are amazing

you know what you should do? you should paint the turning signal orange from the inside and maybe pain the body gunmetal like the authentic ones. I think it would make it look much better.. but its a lot of work lol

Wow that is a sweet cutoff for a depot projector. There must be a swapped projector to have such a well rounded cutoff like. Im definitely thinking about coppin me a set.

im absolutely amazed, the cut off is really good.
I was expecting to see half circles on the wall but thats really good, I might get a set now that I know i'll still be able to see, I'll take the covers off though and amber the turn signals so they look more like the real thing.

How can you mod the shield?????
not sure how these exact headlights work
but you can either open the housing and remove the projector from the front or unscrew the cup from the rear, there is a curved piece of metal that is usually mounted on screws that can be slid forward or backward.
Moving it forwards and backwards puts it out of focus, the more out of focus it is the more blurry your cut off, and sometimes this produces more color.
Putting it towards the bulb will refract the light red and orange and yellow colors.
Putting it away from the bulb will make blues and purples and occasionally deep reds.
Thinning the cut off shield or filing it down and tac welding a piece of aluminum flashing to make a very thin shield will create a very very sharp cut off line, but when it is out of focus it will create a wide array of colors.
The cut off line can be modified by making the shield straight, usually they have an indentation and a bump, by filing down the bump and building up the indentation you can get a perfectly straight cut off.

some projectors already use thin aluminum or other metals instead of a heavy duty thick piece of metal.
In these cases there are usually two pieces spaced apart, by removing the front shield you can make your cut off sharper.

These are much better looking than stock lights on my 2002. You are saying I can just hook these right in?

epshtielsl
06-27-2008, 10:28 PM
You will need a wire harness to install these in an 02/03 EP. speedstar is selling the harness for like $100+ but you can make it yourself for less than $30 if you are familiar with wiring.

BlackEP9
06-27-2008, 11:24 PM
do you really "need" a harness or can you just do some splicing like I did for the other projectors I bought (from Showstoppers) back when. I suppose those were made for 04/05s..not really sure though.

how did you level these? pics of the bolt?

My driver side is alittle lower and my passenger side is alittle high.

RHCP0801
07-09-2008, 06:39 PM
ill take them when i get home from work tomorrow, the adjustment screw is all the way on the outer edge of the headlight and you need a long screwdriver...the slot for the screwdriver is on an angle and if you look down you will see the bolt with the spiked washer
