SORRY I AM WAY TOO CHEAP TO GET OEM ONES!

aftermarket ones work the same and cost a whole lot less.
anyone know if the AVS ones are good? whats the difference between the regular vent visor they offer and the "in channel" vent visors?

which ones are more like the ones that are OEM?

meh. it depends if you get them for function, or look. if you're getting them for simply function, get the cheapest you can. If you're getting them b/c you like the look, you are going to be dissapointed in how clear the weathertechs are. the real JDM vent visors are much much darker. I honestly would hate mine if they weren't as dark, but that's me.

i really cant see spending over $200 on window visors just because they are darker

while this is true you could always just go and get some spray tint that you would use on your exterior lights and make them darker yourself if you wanted the darker look......

it really not worth it considering they look the same as the JDM(just not as dark) and function the same

ok, those^^ are clearly not the same as the JDM vent visors
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s142/NitroBoarder153/Car/P5220246.jpg

they attach differently, at different areas. the JDM ones also get wider towards the b-pillar, and are better:mbiggrin:

When you drive on the freeway with the windows open halfway aren't these visors gonna fly off like a kite? Or make noise from the wind and shake a lot?

That's why you buy spend more money and get JDM set.
Because those are secure; tape and inner slide-in bracket.

Now on the topic, get OEM visors. not because they are "jdm"
Fits perfect, secure, dont make noise on freeway.

I've had ALL, ventshade, weathertech, JDM.
JDM > Weathertech > Ventshade.

all i know is that ive never had any problems with my weather tech's ive done 100 on the HW with the windows down never flew off............ you wont have any issues with them as long as you install them right...........and IMO the (JDM= to fuckin bulky)

^gotta agree...gone over hundred also on the windy days windows all the way down with no noise or "flying off". And the jdm ones stick out 2 much throws off the body shape imo... Dnt have 2 get jdm cuz everyones got it or cuz its "cool"...

You will have to see ventshades in person how cheap they are.
OEM visors quality is just better than any other alternative visors.

I dont think anyone mentioned JDM being cool

JDM visors are the best!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v449/yeedub/hatch2.jpg

The fitment on the passenger side is a little off though, because the JDM doors are slightly different. I had to leave off 1-2 of the metal bracket clips on the passenger side visor. However, I've had them for over a year, they have been rained on and highway driven with no problem. No leaks or signs of dislodgement at all!

Hey bring back an old thread, i've been lookin at some visor myself beacuse when it rains here sometimes when i come back to sit inside my car it smells funky. So Im interested in seing what your visors look like at a few different angles, The JDM ones look like they bulge out and just don't look right. Although the Ones linked above seem like they flow with the Car much better.

Alright, where's the best place to get the JDM ones?? It seems like most places are out of them or over $200.

I agree that the JDM visors look really good. They cover more and look really sturdy. But not everyone has $150+ to spend on them. I am happy with my weathertechs. They fit great and look great. They do the job. Plus they are less than half the price of the JDM visors. Looking to get the Moon roof visor.

Hello there! I hope no one gets HIGH BLOOD / HYPERTENSION because i replied on this old thread. LOL i am going for the looks so i will go for weather tech. Thank you for the source! link is still live and you just saved my precious time! thanks again buddy!

LOL, that's what the forum's here for.
Went with the Weathertechs myself not too long ago. Fit is great, and I DD with the windows down, no complaints.

I do like the look of the JDMs, but there's no way I was gonna spend ~$200 for $2 worth of acrylic and a finicky install procedure.

I got my weathertechs for right around 30 dollars (thanks employee discount).
An spray tinted them darker. Looks much better IMO.

Nice! I've considered a quick spray, just to get em a little darker, but I got bigger fish to fry with my car these days.

With the window cracked, doesn't rain still get in with the JDM ones? :mconfused:
I like how the WeatherTech's go all the way down to the door sill. Also, I know that tinting them from the inside would be a piece of cake and make the outside finish factory-like.

the only reason why i got the jdm ones is because they fit over the window channel, my driverside was fading badly. and you cant get better quality than oem. They are much sleeker than others out there.

but ventshandes look alot better than the weathertechs, but i would get neither. function AND form.

IDK... I smoke cloves as long as I've owned my EP (over 7 years), so, as far as function goes, these would actually benefit me bigtime, but I can't self-justify spending even $50 bucks on $3 worth of plastic and a few hours of design/production costs.

So... For me, it looks like it's Garage Door Lip/Visors FTW :hypertehe:
