So I havent cleaned my hks in a while and I finally got around to it the other day. I normally use Neverdull but I guess since its been so long, the carbon deposit just wouldnt come off. Any advice for getting these stubborn black stains off??? cheers

right I use that stuff already, but no matter how hard I rub on the black deposit, it still wont come off. I am a bit hesitant to take some steel wool to it. any other suggestions?

use metal polish + fine steel wool. Your hand will turn black but it will work.

I would'nt use steel wool on it.....it will scratch the shit out of your exhaust. If you have a palm sander...put a cloth on it and cover it with neverdull.

fine steel wool will not scratch stainless steel. I've used this method more times than I can even remember, on stainless and chrome.

yeah I use steel wool more on chrome parts than stainless steel. But I use mothers mag & aluminum polish works wonders on my exhaust
