strange hissing sound

I'm getting a strange hissing-like sound from my front end when I hit bumps could this be my shocks?

could be the shocks compressing, i hear it on a lot of cars, don't know if that is a good thing or not tho:mconfused:

Nope, I dunno I can't explain it. The first time I heard it I thought it was just because it was really hot out and there was a wierd substance on the road surface (construction area)

At first I thought it was the rubber of the tire making that noise, but now its doing it almost on any road on any dip in the street.

the best way i can explain it is if you took a tire and placed it on a linoleum floor and slid it (without rotating it)....that noise.

am I crazy?
