View Full Version : Just bought my IPS K2 's but ?

Hey there ,

I just bough IPS K2 cams and Eibach dual springs with titanium retainers , also toda timing chain tensioner , but i have a question ...

With those do i need a exhaust cam gear or not ?

again no. stock cam gears are fine. the exhaust cam gear was needed for the older versions of the skunk2 cams which had the centerline off and needed to be adjusted accordingly. other than that you shouldn't really need them. you may pick up some power but nothing too extraordinary.

use the stock components. Do not use the ex cam gear. no point. have fun with the K2's, I know I am :mangel:

I'll be using'em with 12.7 cr , will they cause me any problems? And I wonder how can I get in touch with the IPS guys , I couldn't find any info on their homepage...

Also I bought a new timing chain , Eibach dual springs and titanium retainers , toda exhaust campulley , toda timing chain tensioner , are they good for the stability of the engine? And can you recommend me any other extras?

It depends on exactly which pistons you use. You really will need to clay the motor to be sure unless you can get in touch with IPS. Try this e-mail it used to be good for him edo@intrinsicperformance.com Tell him exactly which pistons you have and he may be able to answer your question

Yea! I have read that the 07 SI timing Chain Guides are longer, and that there better for higher RPM's. Excuse me if im wrong
