I feel dumb asking this question. But I was bored today and wanted to do the Hondata airbox mod. But the problem is I could'nt get at the one "bronze" bolt on the right??
I had know room to get in there and get it loose!
I realize how it comes out....but just can't seem to get to that bolt. If anyone can help that would be great.
ThanksT

extension and a U-joint socket > bolt
Yeah...I did'nt have a u-joint socket kicking around.
I could'nt get in there with my rachet extension either. Its not like I'm a noob, I've built a ton of engines. But this is my first K engine, everything is so squeezed in there.
I definetly will give it another go on Wednesday when I have another day off.

I did a v2 intake in mine also and all u need is a ratchet wit an extention and u should be fine, oh and a flat head for the hose clamps and u should be fine. the power gains arrn't significant but it sounds pretty nasty.

This is what you need to do......
DIY Mugen/Comptech/FG2 Airbox for Ep3
A much better recommendation IMO is to get a new FA or FG airbox and mod do a Hondata airbox mod on it. All you'll have to do is figure out a way to get it to bolt down somehow and you have a Comptech/Mugen airbox at a fraction of the price. Plus its ALOT smaller than our huge horrible flowing airbox.

^I think this is the item # for the K&N filter -> 33-2343.
Remember this is in theory. But, I'm willing to bet you can get a stock airbox DIRT cheap and try it out. So go for it DIY guys.

OK... I'm a serious n00b and have searched the internet for at least a walk through of how to take out the stock airbox to install my sri. Anyone know of a good pictured tutorial?

all you need is a screw drivers and a 10mm socket wrench. it pretty much comes down to just unscrewing stuff til it comes out.
here's a link to a set of instructions to install an aem v2. the first couple of pages deal with uninstalling the stock box
