Is it the old injens that go over the battery? does anyone have a pic, i cant find one anywhere, maybe im just tired. Does it still go down where the AEM ones go? i want a CAI, but im not digging the water problems. Since im in ohio, when it rains it pours

yeah the old ingen cai goes over the battery which you'll have to move your fuse box...the new one goes under the battery...

still have an old school injen, for the time being. after honda broke my fuse box, I fab'd up a more substantial mount for it. I'm about to swap it for the fujita CAI that I got from cow.

sweet thanks guys, but does it still go where the AEM goes under, in the fender well? i want a CAI, but im not digging the whole stay out of water like a pussy deal anymore. How did you reposition the fuse box? is it easy,, or do you have to make your own fabbed up ghetto style mount?

I'm pretty sure it goes in the same fender hole. I can see the end of the filter thru the hole in my mugen lip, so it sits pretty low. the intake comes with a relocation bracket, but its only for the 2 tabs closest to the strut tower, and it leaves the bottom and far side unsupported. I built a platform and additional tab so if a dumbass props on it, the tabs won't break off again.

Be careful with this intake. Mine was put on by the guy who owned the car before me. When i took it off to get my charge pipe measured up i noticed that it rubber very bad on the bottom by the headlight.

So bad that it rubbed about a 1"x 1/8" hole right through the aluminum. Im going to go ahead and say that my engine probably ate that aluminum as it was being shaved off. Little by little.

Thank god aluminum is not that corrosive and hopefully didn't do noticable damage inside... (knock on wood)

Just want to make sure you guys install it properly and make sure it doesn't rub...

I was just sooooo pissed when i found it because there was a piece of tape on the bottom where a hole rubbed through. i wanted to call the guy and bitch him out. Ill post pics when i get a chance

whoa the old style suck, having to relocate the fuse box. Does the MEGA RAM technology on the newer style really work, i mean c'mon really? I do have the newer style on and im not bashing it but just wondering.

I was lucky and honda broke mine. they handed me a replacement, and allowed me to do the work. the one I got was loaded with all the fuses and links, the one they got back was empty.

I also fab'd up another section for the bracket, that adds a shelf and a 3rd clip. I built it a little too low, so I shimmed it up with stacked sintra (pvc sheet) and used double stick tape to be safe.

oh yeah, this is also taken when I hacked the intake tube in half and put the filter in the engine bay because it gets puddly here in VT in the winter and spring. a section of rubber hose connector (or a fernco fitting from home depot, check out the plumbing section, THICK rubber) and a couple hose clamps and its good to go
