if you dont get enough tread in them they will make your wheels fly off! adaptor is safer but more expensive. they may also make your car vibrate

how hard is it to install extended studs? would he (and maybe me lol) be better off using adapters instead of extended studs?

it would be the same as replacing a broken stud, just that they wont be broken. if you have an 02-03 you will have to press out the hubs from the front knuckle to be able to remove the old studs and put in the extended ones.

I say just get a lower offset on your wheels instead of wheel spacers IMO. But if you decide to get some I would say get Project Kics wheel spacers.

just get H&R hubcentric wheels spacers with extended studs built in and you will have no worries.

i think the biggest you can go safely on stock studs is 3mm

Agreed, I've got the H&R 15mm spacers up front to run fg rims. All I needed to install the lugs is a gracefull 5lb mallet to remove the old ones and an impact to pull the new ones through. Other than triming the brake shield, no other worries.
